The Giant Rat
Meanwhile, in Some Dimension…
In the center of the castle, there was a giant, old, and dirty rat, surrounded by treasures of all kinds.
“It eats cool ideas and poops out old and lame ones. The more it eats, the fatter, lazier, and stinkier it gets.”
“Why do they keep feeding it?” I asked.
“It wasn’t always like that. Its poop was once fresh. People got too emotionally attached to it, and now they don’t want to address the stink.”
“Seems like a toxic relationship, huh?”
“They took care of it after its owner died, but things were never the same. These people… they don’t care about the quality of the poop, they only care that it’s still pooping.”
“They should end its suffering. It’s so dense that it’s warping this dimension.”
“I know, right? There’s only room for so many rats.”
“I think there’s still hope, though. I mean, for the little ones.”
“Yeah, me too.”
